I saw the Tilly doll (which are made beautifully) on a Facebook page. So I did a little research, and it was hard to find. Apparently people are claiming that the Tilly doll is the granddaughter of Barbie. However, the doll resemble more of the porcelain doll rather then the Mattel brand image of Barbie. The doll is actually a BJD (Ball- jointed Doll). Unlike Barbie, a ball joint and sockets are used for the doll's life like movements and ability to stand on it's own. It is also know as ABJD (Asian Ball- jointed Doll). I guess someone call their personalized version Tilly shown below
.
The BJD doll is popular in japan, korea as well as china. It is made to reflect Asian pop culture and anime. It began to be marked by a Japanese company called Volks Inc. They called their line of BJD dolls Super Dollfie in 1999. The site is: http://www.superdollfie.net/. The dolls are personalize so that you can choose eye/hair colors, clothing and accessories. It's pretty awesome! You can actually create your own replica of the Tilly doll for you own enjoyment.
Here are other sites that sell the ABJD. Be very careful when going into these international sites. Check for security and authenticity. I hope this was helpful. Enjoy :o).
